Privacy by Default

The Reestit Stoker extension is built with a "Privacy by Default" architecture. We designed this tool to solve our own travel frustrations, and we treat your data exactly how we want ours treated: with absolute minimal exposure.
1. Data Collection
The Reestit Stoker is designed to be forensic yet non-intrusive:
- We do not collect or store personal information (PII).
- We do not access your Airbnb session tokens, login credentials, or account history.
- We only process the URL and public-facing elements (Property ID, Currency Preference, Selected Dates) of the Airbnb page currently active when you explicitly click the extension icon.
2. Data Usage
Information gathered is solely used to construct a deep-link to Reestit.com. This data is processed locally in your browser and is only transmitted to our servers when you intentionally navigate to our website by clicking the Stoker icon.
3. Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or share any data gathered by the extension with third parties. Your scouting activity is between you and the hearth.
4. Permissions Justification
- activeTab: Required to identify the current Airbnb Property ID and provide one-click redirection.
- scripting: Used to identify high-level preferences (Currency/Dates) on the current page to improve your experience on Reestit.com.
5. Changes to this Policy
Any changes to this policy will be updated here. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of these terms.
